Blue Light is a Police initiative designed to reduce the incidence of young people becoming an offender or victim of crime.

I have been the Chairperson of the Hamilton Bluelight INC organisation, the branch was resurrected in 1999. I am extremely proud of the achievements of the Hamilton Branch, which has significantly raised the profile of both Bluelight and the Police organisation in Hamilton and the Waikato. I have been on the executive of Bluelight NZ since being voted on at the International Conference in Takapuna in 2002 and have enjoyed my time on the National Executive. The organisation is exceptionally lucky to have such a dedicated and enthusiastic executive, and I feel privileged to have been able to work with all members of the tea.
