Established in 1876, Kai Iwi School is a true rural school, located just a short distance from Wanganui city. As a full primary school, classes are taught from New Entrants through to Year 8.
We are a full primary school teaching children through to Year 8 (Form 2). Our roll is just under 100 children. We have 5 full time teachers including a Principal who teaches some of the time and manages the school the rest of the time. Supporting our teachers are our school secretary and teacher aide.
Our children are encouraged to wear a school uniform which features our school colours of yellow and black.
