Established in 1933, Ngakuru School caters for children from New Entrants to Year 8 in four classrooms. The school believes in providing a safe, caring, values-driven environment for students.
The school holds a rich heritage of history from the pioneering days. The Ngakuru area is a progressive farming area, predominantly dairying but a number of sheep, beef, deer, goat and ostrich farms are springing up. There are also an increasing number of lifestyle block owners who commute to employment in Rotorua or Tokoroa.
We have a great community spirit which is reflected in our school – a keen governing Board of Trustees, a vibrant, hard working P.T.A. and a supportive parent body (coaching sport, involvement in all occasions, encouraging our students.)
