Conservation Campsite on the Queen Charlotte Track. Management of the campsite and foreshore reserve was taken over by the Mistletoe Bay Trust on June 3 2004. The Trust has the guiding principle that Mistletoe Bay should remain accessible to all.
Our exciting new accommodation development comprises eight new whare (cabins) each comprising a bathroom, sleeping and living areas for six. It’s rustic luxury! The new whare each comprise a separate bathroom with shower and toilet, a bedroom, and living/dining room. The bedroom contains two double bunk-beds (lower) and two single bunk beds (upper). A roll-out double sofa bed is located in the living room together with table and chairs, and an armchair. We have a new high tech communal kitchen/meeting room immediately adjacent which provides cooking and dining facilities, with adequate food storage (dry and refrigerated) and is ideal for small conference use, and functions with a difference. Use of this facility is limited to whare guests.
A full linen service is available at $7.50 per person per change and covers bath towels, bath mat, pillow cases, sheets, and tea-towels.
All accommodation is self-cater, although catering is available by prior arrangement.
We have a limited supply of basic provisions should this be required, pending the opening of our Mistletoe Bay store in early spring, 2008.
