Country Kids is a fully licensed Early Childhood Education service – this means that we have met or exceeded all of the Ministry of Education requirements. Based in a purpose built facility in the village of Upper Moutere, we have been operating for over 20 years, and we are fortunate to be supported by a wonderful community.
Our Programmes:
We offer three distinct programmes. One for children under 2 years, from 2 to 5 years, and very popular extension sessions - "Just for Kids", for 3½ to 5 year-olds.
For all our children in our Pikopiko, Ngā Whetu and Just-for-kids programmes:
- We aim to provide opportunities for their holistic development with a safe, caring and fun environment with focus on learning alongside others.
- We work to enhance their perceptual motor development, emergent literacy and numeracy, and nurturing their interest in learning.
- We promote an appreciation of routines and expectations and being part of a group. Our sessions are a balance of these routines and self selected play.
- We run a sessional programme called Just 4 Kids, catering to the learning needs of 3½ — 5 year olds with a focus on developing the skills and independence needed for the transition to future learning.
