City Kids Co-operative Childcare Centre is a not-for-profit Early Childhood Centre owned and managed by a parent co-operative. It is based in a character villa in Thorndon, Central Wellington.
The center has been in operation since 1986 and caters for up to 25 children (2-5 years old).

We appreciate every child as a unique and special individual who will grow and develop at their own pace. We believe in empowering children with knowledge and skills, and encouraging them to learn through their play. We believe in empowering children to take responsibility for their own actions, including conflict resolution in assertive but peaceful ways.
We are committed to the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi. Our curriculum is based on the principles of Te Whaariki. We believe children will be enriched through an understanding of our bi-cultural heritage, and knowledge of Te Reo and Tikanga Maori.
