Harbourside Kids is a full day care facility which provides childcare services catering for children aged 0 to 2 years, and 2 to 5 years old in two adjacent centres. The Centres are situated on Esmonde Road, Takapuna making them easily accessible for those working in Takapuna, or across the bridge.

We are proud of and have confidence in our dedicated and qualified educators, who enable us to provide exceptional care and education. Our staff are selected for their commitment to children and for their ability to provide a service that reflects love, respect and an understanding of children.

We will make opportunities available for children to enhance their sense of themselves through developing sound social interaction skills, good emotional and physical health, and a positive self worth. We also believe children need to extend their thinking and actions through informed guidance of the core subjects, such as literacy, numeracy, science, music, art and technology.

The curriculum has a focus on preparing children for school. We believe the program offered by the Childcare Centre must be child focused. It will include an emphasis upon nurturing, creativity, independence and individuality, adopting a wide variety of teaching and learning styles. The direction taken at Harbourside Kids Childcare Centre is to provide children with opportunities so that they can grow into competent and confident learners and communicators, healthy in mind, body and spirit, secure in their sense of belonging and in the knowledge that they make a valued contribution to society.
