Elim Early Learning Centre is a community based center located at the Elim Cathedral of Hope complex, 285 Cashel Street. It has been established as part of the church vision to provide the community with quality education and family enriching activities.
We have a small group size with a license for 28 children, 21 over 2 year olds and 7 under 2 year olds. We provide high quality care and education with primary caregivers for each child. Our environment is nurturing and rich in relationships, experiences, and learning. The atmosphere we aim to provide is that of a family.
Teaching Programme
Our curriculum is based on Te Whaarki which focuses on children’s well being, belonging, contribution, exploration and communication. We provide a daily programme made up of child initiated play and planned group times. We weave Christian values and beliefs throughout our programme. These include hope, peace, love, and joy.
Teachers
Our team of teachers are trained and experienced and we maintain an 80 -100% qualified and registered standard. We provide high teacher to child ratios of 2 teachers with our under 2 year olds and 3-4 teachers with our over 2 year olds.
