Wondering what to do this school holidays? Stardome can entertain you rain or shine with a fun and educational astronomy show. This spring our theme is the solar system so we’ll be taking a look at the planets that are our neighbours and learning about them.
Children get to watch the popular animated planetarium show ‘Secret of the Cardboard Rocket’ followed by a projection of the night sky as our Education Presenters show you the planets in our solar system, and how you can find the brightest ones in the night sky. Then get creative in an educational arts and crafts session. Following this we will be launching model rockets in the park outside (weather permitting).
Climb aboard the magical cardboard rocket in the animated planetarium show ‘Secret of the Cardboard Rocket.’ Join the crew as they visit each planet in our solar system and take an up close look, learning interesting facts about each one and trying to stay out of danger from ice, poisonous gases and overheating. ‘Secret of the Cardboard Rocket’ is one of our most popular and entertaining planetarium shows, and is fun for the whole family.
Show includes:
Planetarium show: ‘Secret of the Cardboard Rocket’
Projection of the night sky in the planetarium
