Bear Park childcare facilities are located in various central city suburbs. They are committed to providing an environment which enhances children’s development. Children must be enrolled to attend Bear Park.

The group believes that the children’s developmental and educational needs are a priority and the success and growth of the group is testiment to this philosophy.

The group’s founder has always believed in providing quality education and care for children and this is evident throughout the Centres which are greatly inspired by the Reggio Philosophy, from Reggio Emilia, in Italy.

Facilities and Services:

Bear Park Preschool is housed in an old historical home that was the main farm house for the Market Road area, many years ago. The house at the left of the driveway is home to the grand daughter of the original owners and she has been able to retell some of the houses history.

The interior of the house is truly reflective of the period in which it was built, as there are leadlight windows, kauri hallways, stained glass windows, ornate plaster ceilings and even chandeliers.

The house is positioned in the centre of over 2000 square meters of land and stands rather majestically on a slight hill.

The garden area is expansive, allowing the children the opportunity to fully explore and either play in the sandpit climb and balance on the various playground structures or imagine their own cave dwelling amongst the fir tree hedge.

Walking through the front door one is greeted with developmentally appropriate classrooms, with adjoining ateliers that cater for the educational needs and responses of the children.
