Bear Park childcare facilities are located in various central city suburbs. They are committed to providing an environment which enhances children’s development. Children must be enrolled to attend Bear Park.

The group’s founder has always believed in providing quality education and care for children and this is evident throughout the Centres which are greatly inspired by the Reggio Philosophy, from Reggio Emilia, in Italy.

Facilities and Services:
Bear Park St Heliers is set in a residential site surrounded by well established trees. The Preschool and Nursery lie side by side and the houses have been sympathetically modified to serve the needs of the children. On both sites we have created a natural outdoor play area for the children to discover and explore.
The Preschool has a large, well fenced outdoor area with landscaping of native plants, walkways, shade trees, grassed areas and shade sail. The area includes a sand-pit, play house and fort, zoom slide and soft-fall areas, wooden decks and an undercover area with soft-fall matting. A trike track circles around the garden and provides enjoyment for the children. The interior has been modified with individual rooms utilized for the different array of activities and has well equipped bathroom and kitchen facilities. The atmosphere is bright and cheerful and has a comfortable feeling of home. Children's art and visual documentation adorn the walls. Access to the Centre is very secure with gates and digital locking devices.
The Nursery is linked to the Preschool via a gate into a physically stimulating but secure garden area which includes shade trees, sand-pit, slides, play house, wooden decks and soft-fall areas. Small work stations are set up on a daily basis that cater for group play and learning. The interior of the Nursery is sectioned into areas of age appropriateness that provide the opportunities for inidividaul learning and development. The sleep room, ten cots and is monitored every ten minutes. It is suggested to parents that they bring a favourite toy or cuddly from home for sleep-time. The Nursery is a safe, secure and ascetically pleasing environment for the children up to two years of age.
We have a doctor who visits our centre once a week should any parent have concerns about their child's health. His consulation is free of charge.
Bear Park St Heliers offers specialist classes of music and movement, fitness, art and drama.
We have a wonderful teaching team, responsive to indiviudal backgrounds, strengths, interests and learning needs in a warm and spontaneous environment.
