New Zealand Photographer Mahlon has been awarded nineteen prestigious Silver Awards, and six Gold Awards by the photographic industry. In 1990 Mahlon was commissioned by the New Zealand government to produce a collection of photographic images "Memorable New Zealand Mentors."
Mahlon prefers his work to say something honest and real about his subjects, and yet express something genuinely fun and engaging. He prefers images with true interaction, in surroundings that mean something to the subject.
Most recently Mahlon produced a collection of Celebrity portraits for the second year in a row that have been published in the 'Big Kids' Celebrity Calendar to benefit Child Cancer Research. The project raised $60,000 for child cancer research programs in New Zealand.
