Westgate Riding Academy is well known for producing great riders! They have high standards and expectations, but are also very relaxed in their approach. Fifteen minutes from central Auckland, Westgate’s lessons consist of groups of up to 6 riders. Classes run for one hour on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday. Their all weather arena is floodlit for the winter months, although if the weather is really bad, they’ll cover theory combined with ground lessons.
Westage also run a school holiday programme from Monday to Friday from 10am ‘till 3pm. The programme, which costs $300, includes riding lessons as well as classes on caring for ponies and equipment.
