This national organisation focuses on issues of loss and grief for children and young people. It offers counselling and support for children, education and training courses, information and resources.

RainbowWe support professionals and community groups by providing resources, information, training and professional support. A range of ways we can assist you as you work alongside children, young people and their families/whanau who are going through tough times.

Young people:

We know that everyone experiences difficult times at some point, but some situations can be incredibly tough. They can turn our lives upside down.

It might be a death, a family break up, an illness or an injury, a big disappointment, a broken relationship, a new step family, a natural disaster, an accident, a disability, making a big mistake, unemployment, getting burgled, seeing something terrible, moving away...

Family/whanau & friends:

When children and teens are facing tough times of loss, trauma and grief, skylight actively helps their families/whānau and friends who want to support and encourage them. You may be a parent, grandparent, brother or sister, relative, neighbour or friend. Perhaps you too may be experiencing loss and grief, because of what has happened.

Whatever the situation is, we are here to support you, and those you care about, through the difficult times.

Our training and professional development:

We provide training and professional development opportunities throughout New Zealand. Our courses cover a broad cross section of issues relating to the impact of change, loss, trauma and grief on children, young people and their families/whanau.

We work with organisations to provide workshops to suit their specific needs.jane brook. Training can be arranged at whatever venue works best for you and your team. This may be local to you, or at our training centre in Wellington.
