Philips Aquatic Centre is not your regular swimming pool! Set within a Caribbean theme, there’s a fantastic wave pool that laps on to a beach area.

When the waves have finished children can escape to the lazy river, race down the hydro slide or scramble over the rolling log. Younger children will love splashing in their toddlers’ pool, filled with colourful balls, or investigating their various water features. The Philips Aquatic facility is indoors and boasts warm temperatures even on the coldest days.

The leisure pool has a hydro-slide, lazy river, toddler's pool, sauna, steam room and spa pools. A swim school is also available - from babies to adults as well as tri-squad and aqua aerobics. There is a cafe on site and plenty of parking!

The more serious swimmer can move into their 25metre lane pool, and choose from one of their ready-made water workouts or try aqua jogging.

The cost is $5 per child or $20 for 2 adults and 2 children or 1 adult and 3 children. These prices allow you to use all of their facilities and to stay as long as you like during opening hours.

The facility is a partnership between Mt Albert Grammar School and Auckland City Council and is owned by Mt Albert Grammar School Community Swimming Pool Trust Board. The pool is operated by Community Leisure Management Ltd.

Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 6am to 8pm
Friday: 6am to 9pm
Saturday, Sunday and public holidays 7am to 9pm.
