Takapuna Aquatic Centre has a 33.3metre heated indoor pool, together with a toddler pool.

There’s also a great outdoor pool, open during the summer months only. The Centre is located next to Lake Pupuke, so combine your swim with a picnic next to the lake. An on-site creche is also available for casual users and Centre members.

Takapuna Aquatic Centre offers a 33.3-metre, six-lane, 1.2 metre deep, heated indoor pool suitable for water walking. A wide range of activities and classes are available, as well as additional facilities such as a sauna, steam room and therapy pool.

Casual swimming
We have lane swimming available for more than 85 hours a week. Six lanes are available 50 per cent of the time on weekdays, and two lanes between 3:30pm and 6:30pm weekdays.

Swimming lessons
Swimming lessons are available for all age groups from 6 months onwards. Our facility also has a separate, heated toddler's pool. Please call the centre for more information.

Sauna, steam room and therapy pool
The sauna, steam room and therapy pool are open until half an hour before closing. The therapy pool is closed Monday morning.

Pool alone policy
Children under the age of eight-years-old must be actively supervised by a responsible caregiver that is 16-years old or older. Actively supervising means watching your child at all times while being able to provide immediate assistance. A caregiver 16-years or older must accompany any child under the age of three-years in the pool at all times.

Hours: Monday, Wednesday and Friday 6am-8.30pm; Tuesday and Thursday 6am-6pm; Saturday, Sunday and public holidays 10am-6pm.
