Dunbar Sloane Ltd is New Zealand's number one auctioneer of art, antiques, artefacts, toys and dolls, wine and colonial collectibles. The firm was started in 1918 by Andrew Dunbar Sloane, Lambton Quay, Wellington. Since then it has been kept in the family and is now in the hands of the third and fourth generation, Dunbar Russell Sloane and Dunbar Michael Sloane in Auckland.
Our Wellington head office covers three floors in the heart of the city with two separate auction rooms. Our five 'in-house' experts have a combined experience of over 100 years and specialise in art, antiques and decorative arts, artifacts, toys and dolls, wine, militaria and colonial collectibles as well as a weekly general chattels auction.
We also specialise in chattel valuations for insurance, market, matrimonial and probate purposes.
