Browns Bay Beach is a lovely family swimming beach with barbecues. There is parking behind the shopping centre adjacent to the beach and a large recently renovated playground for kids. (see our parks section) Boats can be launched from the beach and there is a ski lane off the shore. For junior skateboarders there is a ramp on the reserve area. Facilities include a large toilet and changing block, as well as lots of cafés and a great ice-cream parlour a few minutes from the beachfront. A great day trip.
