The Technology Education New Zealand 2007 conference presents a programme focused on the nature of technology, and technological information and practice.

We are looking forward to providing an exciting and stimulating experience for the overseas and New Zealand educators who attend the conference. With the imminent introduction of the revised New Zealand Curriculum Framework, Technology education is facing new challenges and opportunities. One of the themes of the conference is to explore these challenges and opportunities and to create a vibrant vision for the future growth and well-being to technology education. We also will celebrate the rich technological experiences that are happening already in our schools, and honour the teachers who are leading the way in creating an appropriate pedagogy for technology. Research is important to inform practice, and we expect to be able to present a comprehensive picture of the latest research findings within the papers to be presented at the conference.

We feel privileged to be able to host this important biennial event and we look forward to hosting you at this very important biennial event for technology educators.
