SeniorNet Hawkes Bay is one of the largest organizations in New Zealand offering computer tuition to learners over the age of fifty-five.

Activities

SeniorNet members learn and teach others to use computers and communications technologies to accomplish a variety of tasks. They learn to desktop publish anything from a newsletter to an autobiography, manage personal and financial records, communicate with others across the country and the world, and serve their communities. Members share a desire to continue learning and a willingness to contribute their knowledge to others.

Our Courses and Workshops"

At SeniorNet Hawke's Bay we are pleased to offer a wide variety of courses for beginners, including introductions to computers, the internet, Skype, word processing, desktop publishing, graphics editing, burning CDs and using digital cameras.

Funding:

SeniorNet is funded by membership dues, course fees, and the generous sponsorship of many companies and foundations.

Our Aims:

SeniorNet is a non-profit organization of computer-using adults, aged 55 and older. SeniorNet's mission is to provide older adults education for, and access to, computer technology to enhance their lives and to enable them to share their knowledge and wisdom.
