Tempo is a broadranging and inclusive annual dance festival which is run by the Auckland Dance Festival Trust. The programme includes contemporary, world, youth and fringe dance events.
The New Zealand Dance Festival Trust presents Tempo 09, NZ’s Festival of Dance, the annual festival that celebrates dance in all its forms and styles. Tempo 09 is the 6th festival under the Tempo banner.
Tempo’s philosophy is to increase, enhance and support society’s appreciation and experience of dance and how it relates to them. We offer a broad range of events, workshops, classes and performances. We are an inclusive festival, offering everyone the chance to participate in some way.
Our main venue is TAPAC, but the festival offers events across the Auckland region, from the North Shore to Papakura.
