It was hot! News from home was all cold and freezing while we were sweltering in a heatwave that hit Europe to coincide with our visit! Brussels was a lovely city and the art galleries and buildings really brought home the history of the European culture and heritage.
It was straight off the plane and into the studio at Danse Centrum Jette with Julyen Hamilton. Kristian Larsen had told us of his time spent working with this guru of improvisation and an intensive week followed for Footnote as ideas were developed, deconstructed and reconstituted …ending with a performance by Hamilton of his work Truth Lies Woven.
