Teacher Education Forum

Teacher Education Forum of Aotearoa New Zealand (TEFANZ) was officially launched on 12 July 1999 as the national voice for teacher education in Aotearoa New Zealand.

TEFANZ members represent New Zealand providers who offer teacher education programmes at degree or graduate level. The current host institution for TEFANZ is the University of Auckland, for the years 2009-2011 inclusive.

The purpose of the TEFANZ is

  • to promote the development of research-informed programmes of teacher education,
  • to promote teaching as a graduate profession,

Tai Poutini Polytechnic Students Association

The association for students at Tai Poutini Polytechnic, which has eight campuses: Greymouth, Hokitika, Reefton, Wanaka, MAINZ Auckland, School of Scaffolding Auckland, MAINZ Christchurch and School of Scaffolding Christchurch.

In 1989 TPPSA became a compulsory student membership association by way of a student referendum in accordance with sections 229B of the Education Act 1989; in 1993 TPPSA became an Incorporated Society to better represent the interests of students.

Australian and New Zealand Association for Medieval and Early Modern Studies

Membership of ANZAMEMS is open to all interested researchers in the fields of medieval and early modern European studies.

ANZAMEMS exists to promote medieval and early modern studies in Australia and New Zealand. It was formed in 1996 by the merger of ANZAMRS (Australian and New Zealand Association of Medieval and Renaissance Studies) and AHMEME (Australian Historians of Medieval and Early Modern Europe).

ANZAMEMS has members throughout Australia and New Zealand, and is run by a committee of office-bearers from both countries.

NEiTA Foundation

NEiTA presents:

  • The Australian Scholarships Group (ASG) Inspirational Teaching Awards

These awards provide the community with the opportunity to encourage, recognise, honour and reward the work of dedicated, talented, innovative and inspiring teachers. These teachers’ efforts often go unrecognised, but in this honours program, it's the teachers who go to the top of the class.

The Awards are the only national awards for teachers in Australia based on nomination by parents and students.

EnviroSchools

Enviroschools is working towards this vision through a whole school approach to learning and action. Students develop skills, understanding, knowledge and confidence through planning, designing and creating a sustainable school and community. Action projects undertaken by enviroschools have both environmental, educational and social outcomes that benefit the school and the wider community.

Aoraki Schools

Aoraki Schools is a Education and Timaru and South Canterbury, New Zealand

The South Canterbury Principal's Association (SCPA) fosters the collaboration and professional development of principals of primary schools in the South Canterbury region.

An elected executive committee holds regular meetings to consider matters of concern to schools and the education community, and plans professional activities for principals.

New Zealand Resource Teachers: Learning and Behaviour Association

New Zealand Resource Teachers Learning & Behaviour (NZRTLB) Association. The NZRTLB Association is the professional organisation that supports Resource Teachers Learning and Behaviour (RTLB) in their work, and represents their interests in the wider educational sector. The association has a national executive and a regional network throughout New Zealand, providing members with opportunities for networking, up to date information and resources, ongoing professional learning and support, and advocacy on matters of concern to RTLB and the students and teachers with whom they work.
