A group of nine decile one urban secondary schools where a large proportion of the schools' student population come from Maori and Pacific Island backgrounds.
The AIMHI group of schools was established in late 1995. Between 1996 and 2000, significant research on the schools was carried out by Kay Hawk and Jan Hill of Massey University.
