NZST identified a need in the market for beginners wanting to learn to surf and for international visitors wanting to experience New Zealand waves. NZST evolved over the years originally offering a One Day Surf Tour and Surf School. The company now offers 5 & 12 Day Surf Tours, Heli Surfing and Custom Tours. We cater for beginner, intermediate and experienced surfers that are searching for a real kiwi surf experience.

The Kitchen Garden
Rachel Knight operates the kitchen garden from her home in Ohariu Valley, 25 minutes from Wellington. She runs ‘fresh food garden’, a half-day organic vegetable gardening course for beginners. Rachel grows organic produce, which she sells via a box-scheme during summer. She also keeps Rhode Island red chickens, honey bees, white fan-tailed pigeons and Dexter cows. Rachel has a certificate in certified organic production from Christchurch Polytechnic and completed a permaculture design course in 2004. She also has an honours degree in electrical engineering.
