Come along to our Alice in Wonderland Performing Arts Workshop these School Holidays. Students aged 5-15 participate in a range of performing arts activities including jazz, drama, hip hop, art and vocals, all facilitated by professional tutors.
Students will work on basic skills and performance pieces which they display in a final showcase on the Friday evening of the workshop. It is a great way to spend the school holidays, learning new skills and gaining experience in the performing arts!
Wondering what to do this school holidays? Stardome can entertain you rain or shine with a fun and educational astronomy show. This Winter our theme is Matariki so we’ll be taking a look at this special cluster of stars and learning about them.
Children get to watch the popular animated planetarium show ‘Big’ followed by a projection of the night sky as our Education Presenters talk about the significance of the Matariki star cluster that heralds Maori New Year, and how you can find it in the night sky. Then get creative in an educational arts and crafts session building your own kites.
Kaiteriteri camping at Bethany Park is awesome! Bethany Park Christian Camp is situated in peaceful park-like grounds just up the road from Kaiteriteri Beach. Surrounded by established trees and native birds it is the ideal place to relax and unwind! The beautiful golden sands of Kaiteriteri beach are a nice stroll up Martin Farm road where you can take an afternoon cruise through the neighboring Abel Tasman National Park. Enjoy kayaking, swimming, tramping, fishing charters, cave exploring and star filled skies.
